SEREMBAN, Jan 7 (Bernama) -- Negeri Sembilan FC (NSFC) and international sportswear manufacturer KELME today announced an official collaboration for a period of two years involving the sponsorship of the team's official kit worth RM1.7 million.
NSFC Chief Executive Officer, Satwant Singh also announced that the SpaIn-based company is also the club's official technical partner for the Super League, Under-23 League, President's Cup and Youth Cup squads starting this year.
"The two-year collaboration with KELME not only involves sponsoring the team kit, but also provides marketing and commercial benefits that are much needed in the competition in the era of team privatisation," he said in a statement here today.
He said for the team's kit design ahead of the new season, NSFC is retaining the yellow, red and black colours synonymous with the state team.
Meanwhile, KELME Malaysia director, Louis Fun Chen Wai said NSFC will be the only team in the Super League sponsored by KELME starting next season.
"NSFC will celebrate the 100th anniversary of Negeri Sembilan football this year. Therefore, we are pleased to celebrate it through designs and innovations that are closer to the fans," he said.
He added that KELME is also the official sponsor of other international teams such as the Philippine national football team, La Liga team RCD Espanyol, and English Football League team, WaWord FC.
