KUALA LUMPUR, Dec 15 (Bernama) -- Diamond Dotz, a premier diamond facet art brand founded in Australia, anticipated a 20 to 25 per cent profit from the launching of its first concept store in the world at Pavilion Bukit Jalil here.

Diamond facet art, or more conventionally known as diamond painting, refers to the calming process of applying diamonds, which are made of small resin jewels, onto a pre-printed adhesive fabric.

Founder Lisa Lee said the company aimed to introduce the craft to the younger generation, helping them get away from gadgets because the craft functioned as therapeutic and is good for mental health.

“These days, it’s not just children who are too obsessed with gadgets but adults too, so crafts like this play a big role in reducing the use of gadgets, eliminating stress and so on,” she told Bernama.

She said the company planned to open a “pushcart” at Suria KLCC to introduce the craft to the public, especially the young generation.

Meanwhile, she said Diomand Dotz is planning to expand its wings next year to the ASEAN market.

“For the ASEAN market, we are indeed planning to establish a foothold in several countries widely next year because there is a lot of demand, especially from Indonesia, Singapore, Vietnam and the Philippines,” she said.

She said the brand also intended to create more designed products for its customers in the coming year, incorporating ideas such as Arabic and Malaysian design

Lee said the Diamond Dotz brand is the most popular craft in the world and is being sold in 37 countries, including America and Europe.

She said the company is making the effort to highlight the brand’s authenticity despite an abundance of copycat diamonds in the market.

“We want to let people know that it is a good brand and no copy infringement,” she said.

Diamond Dotz is the first diamond facet art brand to be certified safe and non-toxic independently, void of formaldehyde, cadmium, mercury and chromium and abiding by US, Canada, Australia and UK safety certifications.

Beneficial for craft enthusiasts aged five years old and above, the diamond painting process will result in mosaic-style art that is sparkling and vibrant.
