Nurul Izzah loses in Permatang Pauh, Mat Sabu wins Kota Raja

KUALA LUMPUR, Nov 20 (Bernama) -- PKR vice president Nurul Izzah Anwar did not manage to defend the Permatang Pauh seat in Penang, which she won in the previous election.

Returning Officer Muzkhairil Muhamad announced Perikatan Nasional (PN) Muhammad Fawwaz Mat Jan as the winner, with a majority of 5,272 votes.

As of 2.04 am Sunday morning, based on the official results issued by the Election Commission (EC), Amanah president Mohamad Sabu won in Kota Raja, Selangor while Warisan president Datuk Seri Mohd Shafie Apdal retained his Semporna seat.
