ALOR SETAR, Oct 27 (Bernama) -- Kedah Darul Aman FC (KDA FC) acting head coach Victor Andrag is confident that his team will be able to bounce back in their second match in the Malaysia Cup against Negeri Sembilan FC after losing 1-2 to the Deer in their home leg here last night.
Victor, who has been given the responsibility of guiding the Canaries, said that some changes and planning must be done for their away match.
"I hope we can improve on our weaknesses. Actually, the change in our game pattern has already borne results, but we cannot change the whole situation in a short time, so we do it little by little.
"Nevertheless, praise and credit is due to the players, especially the younger ones who are new to the action because they have proven their abilities. But it was our lack of experience that differentiated us from Negeri Sembilan," he told reporters after the match at the Darul Aman Stadium here.-
Victor added that he will give more opportunities to the younger players, who have shown good performance in helping the team, to play.
Meanwhile, Negeri Sembilan head coach K. Devan said the victory over KDA FC was not something that could be considered 'comfortable', instead all his players need to prepare themselves for the return match in Paroi, Negeri Sembilan, on Nov 1.
He said that the result was still considered balanced because KDA FC still have a chance to score in the second match, which could threaten his team's position going to the next round in the Malaysia Cup.
"Only victory after victory can open the opportunity to go to the next rounds until the final of the Malaysia Cup. We need to play better at home than today. So I think my players will not miss the opportunity to take the team to the next level,” he said.
