SAMAIDEN GROUP BHD’s wholly-owned subsidiary, Samaiden Sdn Bhd, has signed a partnership agreement with Taiwan-based Thingnario Ltd to explore opportunities in providing telemetry monitoring system support to renewable energy (RE) and energy efficiency (EE) businesses in Malaysia.
The agreement would enable Samaiden to diversify its core business, which is engineering, procurement, construction, and commissioning (EPCC), to other clean energy businesses such as EE and battery energy storage systems by leveraging the expertise of Thingnario in developing telemetry monitoring tools.
“The agreement is expected to contribute positively towards the future earnings and net assets per share of Samaiden and its subsidiaries for the duration of it,” it said in a filing with Bursa Malaysia today.
Thingnario is principally involved in designing monitoring system solutions for clean energy specialists.

IOU PAY (ASIA) SDN BHD has collaborated with Bank Simpanan Nasional (BSN) on myIOU's ‘Buy Now Pay Later’ (BNPL) service to BSN cardmembers.
Over 6.6 million BSN cardmembers will now enjoy the flexibility of splitting their instalment payments for up to six months, via the myIOU mobile app, at a zero per cent rate across various merchants, online and offline.
“IOUpay’s BNPL service will cater to the growing demand for cashless payment methods amongst BSN customers, whilst enabling IOUpay to build its portfolio of quality customers,” it said in a statement.

QUINTON GROUP’s investment arm, Quinton Capital Sdn Bhd, along with ECH World Wide Energy (M) Sdn Bhd, have signed a strategic partnership agreement and business collaboration with CIP Software Corporation Japan to pursue and develop renewable energy initiatives.
“Through the strategic business partnership, ECH, Quinton Group, and CIP would collaborate to spearhead the development of alternative renewable energy resources in Malaysia, contributing and aligning with the nation’s goal of becoming carbon-neutral by 2050,” Quinton said in a statement today.
The fields of the cooperation agreed upon are related to the production of magnesium batteries, a strategic roadmap for setting up renewable energy using water desalination, and laser refining technologies.

NCT GROUP OF COMPANIES has signed two memorandums of understanding (MOUs) with Huawei Technologies (Malaysia) Sdn Bhd (Huawei) and Green Quarters Sdn Bhd (Green Quarters) to leverage on the upcoming development of NCT Smart Industrial Park (NSIP) in Selangor.
Through the MOU, Huawei will provide ICT infrastructure products and solutions, data centre solutions, and solar energy storage solutions to support NSIP in becoming a fully connected smart development.
