LABUAN, Sept 29 (Bernama) -- The Ministry of Transport (MOT) has retained the line-up of the Labuan Port Authority board, with former Deputy Education Minister Datuk P. Kamalanathan reappointed as its chairman for a one-year term (July 9, 2022- July 8, 2023).
Labuan MCA chief Datuk Chin Hon Vui was reappointed as deputy chairman. This is his third term.
The others retained are Captain Mohamad Halim Ahmed, Abu Bakar Jambol, Mizool Amir (LPA general manager), Datuk Khalid Ghani (Labuan Umno deputy chief), Lee Wan Tung@Lu Yen Tung (Sabah MCA liaison chief), Abdullah Omar Bledram (Labuan Bersatu deputy chief) and Khairul Nizam Othman.
Captain Mohamad is the chief information officer-cum-Deputy Director-General (Planning) of the Marine Department of Malaysia, while Abu Bakar is from the Ministry of Finance and Khairul Nizam from the Ministry of Federal Territories.
The appointment letters were presented by Transport Minister, Datuk Dr Wee Ka Siong on Sept 22 in Kuala Lumpur.
