KUALA PERLIS, Aug 5 (Bernama) -- The Kembara Merdeka Keluarga Malaysia 2022 (KMKM 2022) convoy in conjunction with the National Month arrived in Perlis today.
As soon as they arrived, the 2022 KMKM Jalur Gemilang baton was handed to the state Transport Committee chairman Hamizan Hassan at Kampung Seberang Ramai here.
“The KMKM 2022 uses the concept of passing the baton, by taking the Jalur Gemilang Baton to every part of the country and passing it at every state border,” he told reporters after officiating the Kangar-level KMKM 2022 today.
He said the convoy, which resumed after two years due to the COVID-19 pandemic, began on July 30 with the launch of the 2022 National Month celebrations in Putrajaya and will end on Aug 31.
“The baton will be passed at the first border check point of every state with Kangar being the first check point for Perlis,” he added.
