KOTA BHARU, June 26 (Bernama) - Kelantan FC have recruited two new import players, from Brazil and Japan, to strengthen the team in the second transfer window of the Premier League this season.
Kelantan FC in a statement today said the duo are midfielder Felipe Hereda Dos Santos, 28, from Brazil and winger Kenta Hara, 26, with each of them having signed a contract with the team yesterday.
"Felipe Hereda has played with three clubs in Brazil, namely Santo Andre FC, Foz Do Iguacu FC and Club Sportivo Sergipe (SE) before moving to Bahrain to play for East Riffa and Budaiya Club.
"Kenta Hara, who can play on both the left and right wings, has experience playing for several clubs such as FK Alfa Modrica in Bosnia-Herzegovina, Port Kembla FC in Australia and SC Kapellen-Erft in Germany," the statement said.
According to the statement, Kelantan FC also brought on board a new face, local midfielder, Shafiq Al-Hafiz, 25, who has four years of experience playing in the Super League with UiTM FC and Penang FC for the same purpose.
Kelantan FC now top the Premier League standings with 22 points after seven wins, one draw and one defeat.
