SHAH ALAM, June 23 (Bernama) – The Selangor Zakat Board (LZS) has launched a ‘Bulan Taksir Zakat’ (BTZ) campaign aimed at promoting zakat self-assessment among Muslims in the state.
LZS chief executive officer, Mohd Sabirin Mohd Sarbini, said the campaign has been organised to inculcate a self-assessment culture so that it becomes normal practice every June.
Those who take part in the campaign from June 15 - July 31 also stand a chance to win prizes and fast food vouchers.

“One only has to fill in the information needed to begin paying the monthly instalment for zakat. It is effortless for the zakat payer,” he told reporters after the BTZ launching ceremony by LZS chairman, Tan Sri Syed Anwar Syed Putra Jamalullail, today.
He said it was made possible through collaboration with Bank Islam Malaysia (BIMB) and InfaqPay.
