KANGAR, May 17(Bernama) -- Kuching City FC have made it to the quarter-finals of the FA Cup after beating Perlis United FC 3-0 at the Tuanku Syed Putra Stadium here tonight.
The visitors opened the scoring in the 15th minute through a penalty kick taken by Liberia’s Abu Kamara.
The squad coached by Irfan Bakti Abu Salim doubled the lead through midfielder Amir Amri Salleh in the 32nd minute following a cross from Mohamad Alif Hassan, while import player Aylton Ferreira Ananias sealed the game in the 56th minute with a strike from inside the penalty box.
So far, six teams including Kuching City FC have qualified for the quarter-finals, with the other five being Johor Darul Ta'zim, Sri Pahang FC, Penang FC, Melaka United and Sabah.
