PERAK TRANSIT BHD has proposed a private placement of 63.47 million ordinary shares, representing up to 10 per cent of its total number of issued shares, to fund projects.
In a filing with Bursa Malaysia today, it said the placement shares will only be placed out to independent third-party investors to be identified later.
The exercise is expected to raise RM38.08 million to be utilised for its Urban Transport Electrification projects (RM5.18 million), terminal management services projects (RM6.75 million), partial construction cost for Bidor Sentral (RM13.5 million), and working capital (RM12 million).

KHEE SAN BHD has appointed Khairul Azwan Harun as its executive chairman, effective today.
Khairul Azwan is also the chairman of Vsolar Group Bhd and Mtouche Technology Bhd. He is currently Malaysia Debt Ventures Bhd chairman, a unit of Minister of Finance Incorporated, it said in a filing with Bursa Malaysia.
In a separate announcement, Khee San, which manufactures candies and sweets, has named Datuk Mohamad Razali Mohamad Rahim as its non-independent and non-executive director.
Mohamad Razali, who is also Talam Transform Bhd group chief executive officer, holds a stake of 16.67 per cent in Khee San.

HONG SENG CONSOLIDATED BHD's wholly-owned subsidiary, eMedAsia Sdn Bhd has further expanded its agreement with CLEA Technology Sdn Bhd in relation to the exclusive collaboration for the provision of virtual COVID-19 screening.
It said both parties are keen to provide their service via the CLEADOC virtual screening’s in-app methodology, which is in compliance with the Health Ministry’s guidelines.
The screening process will be supervised by a panel doctor from CLEADOC’s panel listing, it said in a statement today.

SUNWAY INNOVATION LABS (iLabs) has formed a joint partnership with Carsome to launch an accelerator programme called Carsome Mobility Lab.
The programme is scheduled to be launched in the third quarter of 2022 and will be the first auto ecosystem focused accelerator in Malaysia looking to support global tech startups to deliver sustainable solutions in Carsome’s existing markets.
In a statement today, iLabs, which is the innovation arm of Sunway Group Bhd, said selected startups will be offered the unique opportunity to connect with its 13 business divisions and Sunway City Kuala Lumpur’s thriving ecosystem.
The statement also said the programme also includes its extensive funding funnel and ecosystem comprising Orbit Malaysia, SunSEA Capital, Gobi Partners and The HIVE SEA for funding and investment opportunities.

MALAYSIA PACIFIC CORP BHD’s indirect wholly-owned subsidiary, Taman Bandar Baru Masai Sdn Bhd (TBBM) has entered into a joint venture agreement with Chesland Sdn Bhd to acquire land in Johor.
In a filing with Bursa Malaysia today, it said TBBM will apply and secure a parcel of land in Plentong, Johor Bahru, measuring about 5.698 hectares, for conversion from agriculture to commercial use in order for development to be carried out.
The development will provide opportunities for the parties to strengthen their financial earnings via the development of projects, said Malaysia Pacific.
