Devan determined to ensure NSFC remain in Super League

SEREMBAN, March 5 -- Negeri Sembilan FC (NSFC) head coach K. Devan is out to ensure that the Hobin Jang Hobin squad display excellent performance throughout the 2022 Super League season to maintain their position in the league.

The experienced coach, who has been given the responsibility to handle the NSFC team again this season, said he would fulfil the trust of the management in him to guide the squad and repeat their success in the Premier League last season, when they won the title.

"What I want is to see my charges to remain in the Super League competition, that is my goal at the moment. So I hope they can also give their full commitment in ensuring this goal is achieved," he told Bernama here today.

Yesterday, Negeri Sembilan Football Association (PBNS) president Tunku Syed Razman Tunku Syed Idrus Al-Qadri in a statement announced Devan as the manager and head coach of the NSFC team for the 2022 season.

Devan managed to gain promotion for the squad to the Super League this season after topping the Premier League last season with 41 points.

Meanwhile, the Bahau-born coach described their first three-point victory after beating Sabah FC, 1-0 in a thrilling match at the Likas Stadium, Kota Kinabalu last night as a good start for his to strengthen their position.

On the compatibility between imported and local players, Devan said there were some areas that needed to be improved, especially in the midfield and attack but it was not a problem and would be improved ahead of the next match.
