KUALA TERENGGANU, Feb 10 -- The road along Pantai Seberang Takir in Kuala Nerus till the drawbridge here will be closed to traffic in both directions from Feb 13 to 15.
Kuala Terengganu district police chief ACP Abdul Rahim Md Din said the closure was due to an activity to be conducted by the Malaysian Armed Forces in the northern estuary (near the drawbridge) of Sungai Terengganu and to avoid traffic congestion in the area.
He said on Sunday and Monday (Feb 13 and 14), the road closure will be from 8 am to noon while on Tuesday (Feb 15) the road will be closed from 7.30 am to noon.
“All road users coming from Kuala Nerus to the Kuala Terengganu city centre and vice versa are advised to use the Sultan Mahmud Kuala Terengganu Bridge road during the period,” he said in a statement today.
He also advised road users to plan their journey so as not to face any difficulties and to comply with all instructions given by police personnel on duty.
