Prudent spending helps KUFC keep players salary arrears at bay

13/01/2022 05:26 PM

KOTA BHARU, Jan 13 -- Prudent spending has helped Kelantan United Football Club (KUFC) avoid the issue of players salary arrears ahead of the 2022 M-League season.

Its advisor, Wan Roslan Wan Hamat said the management was very careful about expenditure especially when bringing on board local or import players.

“As a result of proper planning we are able to manage our financial affairs in an orderly manner especially involving the payment of players’ salaries even though the salaries offered by us are lower than other teams,” he told a press conference after witnessing the signing of a Strategic Partnership Agreement between Yakult Malaysia and KUFC here today.

KUFC was represented by its deputy president Datuk Zamri Ismail while Yakult Malaysia by its managing director Hiroshi Hamada.

Meanwhile, Wan Roslan targets KUFC to finish among the top four in the Premier League which kicks off in March.
