KUALA LUMPUR, Jan 1 --The Malaysian Takaful Association (MTA) has announced the appointment of Mohd Radzuan Mohamed as its chief executive officer effective from Jan 1, 2022.
MTA chairman Elmie Aman Najas said that “Radzuan brings to the MTA strong leadership, management, operational and entrepreneurial skills coupled with local and international experience.”
“He is well-positioned to drive the organisation in spearheading the transformation of the takaful industry, especially in its aspiration to achieve the new takaful landscape as outlined in the Value-Based Intermediation for Takaful (VBIT) framework launched in June 2021,” he added in a statement.
Mohd Radzuan has more than 20 years of experience in the industry, covering a wide range of areas, including takaful and retakaful, insurance and reinsurance, broking, consulting, and adjusting.
Prior to joining MTA, he held several senior management positions in various insurance and takaful companies.
MTA is a trade association representing all 18 licensed takaful and retakaful operators in Malaysia.
