PETALING JAYA, Nov 19 -- The Kelantan FC Premier League team have appointed former national midfielder Reezal Zambery Yahya as the team's head coach for next season's competition, with a mission to qualify for the 2023 Super League.
Reezal Zambery was Kelantan FC's assistant head coach before being named to replace Marco Ragini as head coach of The Red Warriors on a three-year contract.
Kelantan FC owner Norizam Tukiman said since joining the team last April, Reezal Zambery has shown quality as a coach apart from having a high level of compatibility with the coaching staff and players.
"With his appointment, we want to prepare in advance so that we can compete in the 2022 season in a more orderly and structured manner, including the selection of players by the head coach according to tactics and strategies.
"For next season's league, after discussing with the technical director (Kelantan FC’s Abdul Nasir Yusof), we have lined up quality imported players because our target is to finish in the top two to qualify for the Super League," he told a press conference here today.
Reezal Zambery said the target to qualify for the Super League 2023 is no pressure to him, and he is ready to take up the challenge.
