KUALA LUMPUR, Nov 19 -- The Department of Statistics Malaysia (DOSM) and the Companies Commission of Malaysia (CCM) have signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) to continue strategic cooperation and to further strengthen cooperation between the two agencies.
DOSM chief statistician Datuk Seri Dr Mohd Uzir Mahidin said the MoU was the second with CCM since 2009.
“Through this collaboration, DOSM will continue to share information related to the Malaysia Standard Industrial Classification based on the International Standard Industrial Classification of All Economic Activities, conduct training and briefings on statistics required by CCM, as well as furnish other official statistics to CCM,” he said in a statement today.
Mohd Uzir said CCM would continue to provide data on companies and businesses in Malaysia while DOSM is always open to signing MoUs with any other interested organisations.
