KUALA LUMPUR, July 14  -- Gary Steven Robbat is a man on a mission.

Having joined Melaka United FC on loan from Johor Darul Ta’zim II (JDT II) in mid-season, the midfield hardman aims to help his new team climb out from the drop zone when the Super League resumes on July 24.

Gary admitted that Melaka United FC’s match against Sri Pahang FC on July 25 would be crucial to proving his worth to his new team.

“Firstly, I must prove to the coach that I can give the team something extra. It’s true that I am looking to get more playing time here, but I want to build a level of trust with the team so that I can give my highest commitment.

“It is in that game (against Sri Pahang FC) that I will be able to show how much I am committed to Melaka United FC,” he said in a statement issued by the Malaysia Football League (MFL) today.

Melaka United FC are currently in 11th spot in the 12-team Super League standings with 11 points after winning just three matches out of 13, so far.
