9As in SPM, now Fatin Nabila excels in STAM

BUKIT GANTANG, June 17  -- After scoring 9As in the Sijil Pelajaran Malaysia (SPM) examination three years ago, Fatin Nabila Husna Mohamad Asri continued her excellent achievement by obtaining Mumtaz (Excellence) in the Sijil Tinggi Agama Malaysia (STAM) 2020.

The 19-year-old, the best student of Sekolah Agama Bantuan Kerajaan Maahad Al Islamiah Tarbiah, Batu 8, Jalan Trong near here, earned Mumtaz in all the five subjects she took, namely Hifz al-Qur’an and Tajwid, Fiqh, Tauhid and Mantiq, Tafsir and Ulumuhu as well as Hadith and Mustolah.

 Despite having to switch to online learning due to Movement Control Order (MCO), she said the challenges of using the Internet at home during MCO, which included line disruptions, did not break her spirit to maintain her focus to study and prepare for the examination.

“Although I had to study in that kind of situation, I stayed resilient, thanks to the full support of my parents, Mohamad Asri Hussin, 46, and Nuzurul Izani Zamhasri, 43,” said the first born of three siblings to Bernama.

She disclosed that her favourite studying times were at night and after Subuh prayers.

“I did not go to any tuition classes, only encouragement and guidance from teachers at school, who  contributed to my success,” said Fatin Nabila Husna, whose ambition is to become a Shariah lawyer and officer, adding that she also planned to further her studies in Jordan in the field of Syariah.
