KUALA LUMPUR, June 11 -- The following are the updates on COVID-19 figures in Malaysia and selected countries across the world as at 10 am today.
Data provided by John Hopkins Coronavirus Resource Centre indicate globally there have been 174,751,698 confirmed cases of COVID-19, with 3,768,856 deaths.
A total of 2,242,889,633 vaccine doses have been administered globally so far.
The United States (US), India and Brazil remain the top three nations with highest number of positive cases and fatalities. However, the US, the United Kingdom (UK) and others have been reporting a slowdown in new cases in tandem with rising vaccination numbers.
The table below also indicates the status of some ASEAN nations including Malaysia as of June 6 as the COVID-19 pandemic rages on and the vaccination process moves into high gear.
