KUALA LUMPUR, April 26 -- The Asian Football Confederation (AFC) have rescheduled the 2021 AFC Cup ASEAN Zone group matches involving Kedah Darul Aman (KDA) FC and Terengganu FC (TFC).

Originally scheduled to be held from June 22-28, the Group H matches will now be played from June 29-July 5 and Group I matches from June 30-July 6, the Asian football governing body said in a statement.

AFC said the decision was taken after the confirmation of new match schedule for the AFC Champions League (East) playoff matches, which are now planned for June 22 and, depending on the outcome of the preliminary stage matches, may include the participation of teams from the ASEAN Zone.

The AFC said all other conditions related to the competition remained the same, with Groups H and I matches set to take place in Singapore, while the venue for Group G will be decided at a later date.

KDA FC, the 2020 Malaysian Super League runners-up, have been drawn in Group H with Lion City Sailors FC of Singapore, Saigon FC (Vietnam) and another team to be confirmed through playoff next month, while Group I comprises Geylang International FC (Singapore), Kaya FC-Iloilo (Philippines), TFC and team from the playoff.
