SHAH ALAM, April 25 -- UiTM FC head coach Mohd Reduan Abdullah welcomed German Frank Bernhardt’s return to lead the team.
Mohd Reduan said he would accept the return of the German coach if the matter had been decided by the management of The Lion Troops.
"I’m only an interim coach, if Frank returns (back to UiTM) I will abide by the decision made by the management.
"Perhaps, Bernhardt’s return will give a new breath to the team,” he told at a press conference after the match between UiTM FC and PJ City FC yesterday.
The match ended with a 0-1 score after PJ City FC managed to score a goal in the 81st minute through M. Tamilmaran.
UiTM FC is currently ranked last in the league following yesterday's defeat.
Meanwhile, Bernhardt managed to place the team in the top six of the Malaysian League last season, but his contract with UiTM FC was not extended after the club looked for a new coach for this season's league.
