KUALA LUMPUR, Feb 27 -- The COVID-19 Sinovac vaccine is scheduled to arrive in the country today at the Kuala Lumpur International Airport at about 9 am.
Science, Technology and Innovation Minister Khairy Jamaluddin through a post on Twitter on Feb 19 said the National Pharmaceutical Regulatory Division (NPRA) was in the process of evaluating Sinovac clinical data.
The Sinovac vaccine has passed the third stage of clinical trials in several countries including Brazil, Turkey and Indonesia.
Here are the updates of the event:
10.00 am : Khairy concluded the press conference.
9.45am : A total of 1.183 million registrations were recorded on MySejahtera to take the COVID-19 vaccine as of 7 am today - Khairy
9.40 am : As at 7 am today, a total of 3,580 individuals have received the Pfizer COVID-19 vaccine jab - Khairy.
9.30 am : Pharmaniaga is able to provide two million doses of Sinovac vaccine a month after the manufacturing, bottling process approved - Khairy.
9.25 am : Khairy hold a press conference regarding the arrival of Sinovac vaccine.
9.20 am : The Chinese Ambassador to Malaysia symbolically handed over a white box containing the Sinovac vaccine to Senior Minister Datuk Seri Ismail Sabri Yaacob.
9.10 am : Envirotainer containing Sinovac vaccine was brought down from the aircraft.
8.55 am : Flight ferrying Sinovac COVID-19 vaccine landed at KLIA.
8.24 am : Coordinating Minister for National COVID-19 Immunisation Programme Khairy Jamaluddin and
China’s Ambassador to Malaysia Ouyang Yujing arrive at the i-secure MASKargo Complex, KLIA to welcome the arrival of the Sinovac vaccine flown from Beijing, China.
8.19 am: Transport Minister Datuk Seri Dr Wee Ka Siong arrives at the i-secure MASKargo Complex, KLIA to welcome the arrival of the Sinovac vaccine flown from Beijing, China.
