KUALA LUMPUR, Feb 1-- Koperasi Kakitangan Petronas Berhad (KOPETRO) or Petronas Berhad Staff Cooperative contributed household electrical appliances to flood victims in the East Coast last Friday.
KOPETRO secretary, Datuk Abdul Razak Hussain said the corporate social responsibility (CSR) programme was initiated by the cooperative’s CSR Committee (JCSRK) 2021.
“This was also undertaken with the cooperation of the Cooperatives Commission of Malaysia (SKM) and Angkatan Koperasi Kebangsaan Malaysia Berhad (Angkasa) as part of KOPETRO’s aid and contribution programme to assist the needy.
“We hope the contribution could bring some cheer and reduce the burden of the flood victims,” he said in a statement, here, today.
The electrical appliances were handed over by Abdul Razak to SKM deputy executive chairman, Zazali Haron and its Cooperative Promotions and Incentives Division director, Amran Abd Kadir at Menara SKM in Bukit Damansara, here, on Jan 29.
Also present were KOPETRO vice-secretary Hafida Hassan and senior manager of its Corporate Communications Department, Ahmad Hazil Abd Lateff.
