LABUAN, Jan 18 -- Labuan Shipyard and Engineering Sdn Bhd (LSE) has completed the refit routine for the Malaysian Royal Navy (RMN) patrol ship, KD Selangor, following the signing of an acceptance agreement in a handover ceremony at the LSE shipyard here recently.
The agreement was signed and accepted by the Eastern Fleet Command Headquarters, Commander of Eastern Logistics, First Admiral Satria Sarawak Jais.
The other signatories of the agreement were KD Selangor Commanding Officer Commander Mohd Husni Aris and LSE chief executive officer Khamdi Khalip.
The project, which started on July 10, 2019, was completed according to the schedule despite the COVID-19 pandemic.
The ceremony also marked the 10th anniversary of KD Selangor, which officially commenced service on Dec 28, 2010.
The refit routine was the first for KD Selangor and was completed in the shortest period of time in its class compared to that of previous vessels.
