KOTA KINABALU, Dec 21 -- Businessman Datuk Verdon Bahanda today confirmed that he is no longer serving as chief executive officer (CEO) and director, as well as terminating all responsibilities in Sabah Football Club Sdn Bhd (Sabah FC).
Verdon said the decision was made after he had a meeting with Sabah Football Association (SAFA) acting president Datuk Seri Bung Moktar Radin yesterday (Dec 20), who informed SAFA's decision to revamp the leadership in the parent body (SAFA) and Sabah FC.
"During the meeting, I was informed that SAFA will reimburse all expenses that I have incurred," he said in a statement today.
However, he did not mention the total expenditure.
He, however, said he would only sign all documents transferring rights in Sabah FC to SAFA and tender his resignation after receiving a refund from SAFA for all expenses he had incurred.
