KUALA LUMPUR, Dec 18 -- Tun Rahah Mohamed Noah, the widow of second Prime Minister Tun Abdul Razak Hussein, died today. She was 87.
This was confirmed by her son, former Prime Minister Datuk Seri Najib Tun Razak via social media.
"Innalillahwainnailaihirojiun, mother is no longer here. Whole family at the hospital. Sadness and tears are flowing, no words to describe our loss,” he wrote on his Facebook page today.
She died at 4.45 pm at the Prince Court Medical Centre here.
Tun Rahah had earlier been admitted to the medical centre for treatment.
Meanwhile, Najib said her remains had been brought back to her residence here and would be taken to the Ar-Rahah Mosque in Kerinchi tomorrow for funeral arrangements before being laid to rest at the National Mosque.
