KUALA LUMPUR, Nov 19 -- The Federal Territory Perikatan Nasional Youth today lodged a police report against rapper Wee Meng Chee or Namewee over his latest film poster which allegedly touched on racial sensitivities.

The police report was made by Federal Territory PN Youth Information Unit member Mohammad Azwan Azmi at the Dang Wangi district police headquarters, here at 11.07 am.

Azwan Mohammad said the police report was made as the movie poster titled ‘BABI' contains the words ‘Melayu Bodoh’, ‘India Keling’ and ‘Cina Babi’.

“This insult and provocation is seen as outrageous and is a rude and insolent act, feared to cause inter-racial tensions in Malaysia," he told reporters after making the police report.

He said his party had also asked the Malaysian Communications and Multimedia Commission (MCMC) to block the content related to the film from being accessed by Malaysians through his Facebook, Youtube and Instagram accounts.
