BAKU, Oct. 26 -- Azerbaijan President Ilham Aliyev said Sunday that the country’s Army has liberated the Gubadli city and the villages of Zangilan, Jabrayil and Gubadli districts from Armenian occupation.
“Long live Azerbaijani Army! Karabakh is Azerbaijan!,” Azerbaijan State News Agency (AZERTAC) reported the President as saying on his official Twitter account.
Meanwhile, in another report, the Ministry of Defence claimed that the Azerbaijani Army has destroyed Armenia’s military equipment and ammunition on Sunday.
"During the battles in different directions of the front conducted on Oct 25 in the afternoon, the units of the Azerbaijan Army inflicted precise strikes on the enemy," the Ministry of Defence told AZERTAC.
"As a result of the strikes, the enemy's 6 D-30 and 1 D-1 howitzer-guns, 2 BMP infantry fighting vehicles, 1 auto vehicle and a large amount of ammunition were destroyed," the ministry added.
