MYNIC, SDEC ink MoA to provide digital training for entrepreneurs in Sarawak

KUALA LUMPUR, Oct 7 -- MYNIC Bhd, in collaboration with the Sarawak Digital Economy Corporation (SDEC), will organise a Digital Market Mastery Training Programme to assist small and medium-sized entrepreneurs in Sarawak in expanding their businesses via the online marketplace.

The partnership, which was sealed through the signing of a memorandum of agreement in Cyberjaya today, marked the first joint initiative between MYNIC and a state government, the federal agency said in a statement today.

Through the collaboration, MYNIC is targeting 1,000 small and medium-sized entrepreneurs in Sarawak to participate in its Digital Market Mastery Programme with the focus being on the underserved and rural group, particularly in the B40 category.

“MYNIC is honoured to have this partnership with the SEDC and is highly committed to sharing online business knowledge and providing full technological support to the training programme’s participants so they are prepared for global challenges in the digital economy,” MYNIC chief executive officer Datuk Hasnul Fadhly Hasan said.

He said that besides providing training modules such as developing websites, social media marketing and content improvement in business marketing, MYNIC would also carry out periodic monitoring on the development and understanding of the participants.

 MYNIC said it would also form collaborations with other state governments to assist entrepreneurs in pursuing digital opportunities.
