Mosques in Pahang asked to hold solat hajat for Agong's recovery

KUANTAN, Sept 24  -- All mosques in Pahang are ordered to hold solat hajat (prayers for a wish to be fulfilled), Yasin recital, tahlil and doa selamat for the speedy recovery of the Yang di-Pertuan Agong Al-Sultan Abdullah Ri'ayatuddin Al-Mustafa Billah Shah, who is currently undergoing treatment at the National Heart Institute (IJN), Kuala Lumpur.

Comptroller of the Royal Household for the Sultan of Pahang, Datuk Ahmad Khirrizal Ab Rahman said the Regent of Pahang Tengku Hassanal Ibrahim Alam Shah Al-Sultan Abdullah ordered the ceremony to be conducted after Maghrib prayers today.

"Tengku Hassanal also ordered the solat hajat to be held after Friday prayers tomorrow.

"May our country and Pahang will always be under the protection of Allah and be spared from any disaster and misfortune," he said in a media statement here, today.

On Tuesday, Istana Negara said that Al-Sultan Abdullah who is also the Sultan of Pahang, was admitted to the IJN Royal Ward after His Majesty complained of feeling unwell.

However Al-Sultan Abdullah’s condition is not worrying and His Majesty is expected to be discharged very soon.
