Bernama Radio, Manis FM collaborate for 'Khabar Pantai Timur'

KUALA TERENGGANU, Aug 27  -- Starting Sept 3, listeners of Bernama Radio and Manis FM will be able to enjoy a new talk show, known as ‘Khabar Pantai Timur’, which will highlight current issues, as well information on business and entrepreneurship.

This will be made possible through the collaboration between the Malaysian National News Agency (Bernama) and  Husa Network Sdn Bhd, which will be formalised later today at the Wisma Darul Iman, here.

Through the collaboration, the ‘Khabar Pantai Timur’ programme will air simultaneously for half an hour every Thursday at 7.30 am on both radio stations for 13 weeks.

The talk show will not only highlight inspiring successful entrepreneurs but will also feature new entrepreneurs in agriculture and small and medium industry (SMI), besides giving the opportunity to listeners to share their ideas and opinions.

The idea for the collaboration was mooted by the Minister of Communications and Multimedia Datuk Saifuddin Abdullah who wants Manis FM to work closely with Bernama Radio to strengthen the content of its business and entrepreneurship segment. 

Apart from collaborating for the talkshow, Bernama Radio will also provide an opportunity to two Manis FM personnel to undergo training on radio programme production at Wisma Bernama in Kuala Lumpur, while Manis FM will broadcast Bernama Radio's entrepreneurship programme on its station. 

Bernama Radio, which is Bernama’s wholly-owned radio station launched on Sept 3, 2007, has introduced a concept that focuses on news and the business world, embracing a new focus on business news concerning small and medium enterprises since Oct 1, 2019.

With the tagline ‘Your Business News Station’, Bernama Radio offers the latest news and interviews as well as discussions focusing on current affairs, entrepreneurship and business development, where entrepreneurs will share their experiences in addressing the challenges faced in improving their business.

Manis FM, on the other hand, is the first private radio station on the East Coast owned by a Terengganu State Government investment arm, Terengganu Incorporated Sdn Bhd, and operated by Husa Network Sdn Bhd.

Themed, ‘Gaya Pantai Timur’, Manis FM, which has been operating since 1998, is characterised by local and interactive concepts as well as infotainment by featuring light-hearted Islamic content, entertainment and entrepreneur-related segments.
