KUALA LUMPUR, Aug 26 -- Richiamo Coffee Sdn Bhd plans to open 10 more outlets in Malaysia by the end of this year, while also eyeing opportunities in foreign markets.
Its managing director, Muhamad Zamry Abu Samah, said the company now has 25 outlets nationwide including at institutions of higher learning, petrol stations and shopping malls.
When met during Bernama's National Day celebration ceremony here, today, Muhamad Zamry said five outlets are currently undergoing renovation while another five outlets are in the discussion stage for opening by year-end.
There were also plans to bring in more youths to participate in entrepreneurship via Richiamo Coffee business, he added.
According to him, the wholly-owned Bumiputera company started business on Sept 1, 2016 in Universiti Utara Malaysia, Sintok, Kedah.
It offers 30 premium coffee recipes, besides an assortment of pastries.
"In terms of competition, (we) are able to compete as our strategy is affordable pricing, taste and quality that is comparable with international brands," he said.
Meanwhile, Muhamad Zamry said the company also planned to open outlets in overseas markets and has had discussions with Singapore, Myanmar and Bangladesh.
Even though the discussions were not able to be continued at this time due to the COVID-19 pandemic, he said, the company would continue to pursue this goal.
