KUALA LUMPUR, July 15 -- Bank Rakyat is targeting a 20 per cent growth in Ar-Rahnu financing disbursements and a two to five per cent growth in customer base through its four-month Emas 2 Kilo (2 Kg Gold) campaign ending Nov 15, 2020.
In a statement today, the bank said the campaign, with the "Pawn and Win” concept, was being organised for the third year due to the encouraging response seen in the previous years.
The current campaign is aimed at encouraging more people to use the Pajak Gadai-i Ar-Rahnu service through the 185 Bank Rakyat and Ar-Rahnu XÇhange branches nationwide.
“The campaign is launched to promote Ar-Rahnu services to the public as well as educating them that gold is an investment asset that can boost personal wealth as well as stimulating the national economy,” it said.
It said Ar-Rahnu services not only were able to solve immediate cash flow problems but also offered alternative easy financing especially for the micro, small and medium enterprises.
The campaign offers 28 prizes valued at more than RM400,000 or two kilogrammes (kg) of gold to customers. The grand prize winner will receive a 1 kg gold bar.
