Takaful Ikhlas family introduces two new products

KUALA LUMPUR, June 17 -- Takaful Ikhlas Family Bhd has introduced two new products, IKHLAS Bersama and IKHLAS Dariku that offer comprehensive plans and flexible coverage terms to customers.

In a statement today, the wholly-owned subsidiary of MNRB Holdings Bhd said IKHLAS Bersama comprised an all-in-one affordable protection solution for customers up to the age of 70.

The product provides a base coverage for death, which can be supplemented by optional comprehensive additional coverages (riders), whereby customers can mix and match the riders depending on their needs.

The comprehensive additional riders offer critical illness coverage, total permanent disability (TPD), hospitalisation (with medical card), hospital income, waiver of contribution and accident related cover.

Meanwhile, IKHLAS Dariku focuses on providing hibah as a gift.

On top of providing assurance and security, IKHLAS Dariku also includes additional death benefit, where the loved ones will be paid an additional 100 per cent of the basic sum covered for death as a result of cancer, additional 200 per cent of the basic sum covered for accidental death, and additional 300 per cent of the basic sum covered if the participant passed away whilst performing haj or umrah.

IKHLAS Dariku also offers cash reward to customers upon life events such as marriage, birth of a child, new house purchase, performing haj and travel to five different countries.

Takaful Ikhlas president and chief executive officer Mohd Din Merican said both products featured a special benefit called Accelerated Death Expense (ADE).

"With ADE, up to RM20,000 from the sum covered will be made payable immediately to the next-of-kin, upon the demise of the participant.

"This intends to cushion the family’s financial woes due to the death of a loved one. We hope that Malaysians from all walks of life will take the opportunity to participate in our new products,” he added.
