KUALA LUMPUR, May 21 -- The Rural Development Ministry (KPLB) today announced the appointment of Bertam state assemblyman Khaliq Mehtab Mohd Ishaq as Penang Regional Development Authority (Perda) new chairman.
Minister Datuk Dr Abd Latiff Ahmad in a statement today said Datuk Dr Ir Shaik Hussein Mydin and Mohd Yusni Mat Piah have also been appointed Perda new board members.
"KPLB is confident that the leadership, capabilities, expertise and experience of this new line-up will be able to provide excellent service for the agency's future development.
"The new appointments are very much needed to ensure that all agencies under the ministry are able to operate with accountability and good governance," he said.
In addition KPLB announced the appointment of MARA Corporation board members namely Tan Sri Azman Shah Datuk Haron Idris, Datuk Seri Mohd Zuki Ali, Datuk Asri Hamidon, Datuk Seri Megat D Shahriman Datuk Zaharudin, Datuk Suhaili Abd Rahman and Mohd Hisham Mohamed Yaakob.
Earlier on May 8, Datuk Dr Syed Muhamad Syed Abdul Kadir was announced as MARA Corporation new chairman.
