KUALA TERENGGANU, March 11 -- The Terengganu Inc TSG Cyling Team (TSG) have withdrawn from five tour events because of the COVID-19 outbreak.
The five championships are the BSB120 in Brunei; Tour de Togichi, Japan; GP Mediterranean, Turkey; GP Justiniano Hotels, Turkey; and Bieras A Serrada Estrella, Portugal; scheduled in March and April.
Its chief operating officer, Nasiruddin Wan Idrus, said the cancellation was made after taking into account all factors, including the safety and health of the riders.
"We have informed the organisers as well as the Malaysian National Cycling Federation.
"This is the best decision we can take to avoid any risks that may affect our riders," he said in a statement today.
