Pavilion Bukit Jalil secures one million sq ft tenants

KUALA LUMPUR, Nov 27 -- Pavilion Bukit Jalil retail planners has announced that it has successfully secured one million square feet (sq ft) of confirmed tenants and is close to securing another 300,000 sq ft tenants.

Chief Executive Officer Retail of Kuala Lumpur Pavilion Sdn Bhd, Datuk Joyce Yap said, they are actively seeking new-to-market brands locally as well as from abroad and in different stages of discussions with retailers at present.

“Despite current market conditions, there are still many regional brands interested to enter Malaysia because of our strong fundamentals and low business costs,” she said in a statement.

“We affirm that Pavilion Bukit Jalil’s strategic location and opening is timely for their brand entry into Malaysia and this has elevated their confidence in us,” she added.

With 1.8 million square feet in retail space, Pavilion Bukit Jalil comprising retail, residential, commercial as well as hospitality components and is expected to open in 2021.

Anchor tenants will include department store operator Parkson, Dadi Cinema, Food Republic, the food merchant, Harvey Norman superstore, and Pavilion Bukit Jalil ice rink.

Joyce Yap said, Pavilion Bukit Jalil also aims to potentially tap into the millions of overseas tourists as well as local tourists that visit Kuala Lumpur every year.
