SEREMBAN, Sept 17 -- A total of 53 schools involving 28,073 students in Nilai and Mantin will be closed tomorrow after the Air Pollutant Index (API) readings in the areas, as at 9pm today, exceed 200.
In a statement here, the Negeri Sembilan Education Department said, however, teachers and other staff would report for duty as usual.
"Schools in Port Dickson that closed today will reopen tomorrow," the statement said.
A total of 112 schools in Port Dickson and Nilai were ordered to close today due to the haze.
As at 11pm today, Nilai recorded a very unhealthy API reading of 208, Port Dickson (185) and Seremban (169).
