PUTRAJAYA, Sept 12 -- The MyWc (My Water Closet) mobile application is being introduced to assist the public in public toilet searches using the Global Positioning System (GPS) and based on the public toilet distance from users.
Housing and Local Government Minister Zuraida Kamaruddin said the application which was developed by the Local Government Department would allow consumers to access toilet information based on star rating, paid and non-paid toilets.
"Consumers can also find out about other amenities available in each toilet such as rooms for changing baby diapers and whether it is disabled-friendly," she told reporters after launching the application at the Ministry of Housing and Local Government Innovation Day 2019 here today.
A total of 2,625 toilets have been uploaded to the MyWc application which includes public toilets owned by local authorities, public stops, schools, restaurants, gas stations, tourist areas, shopping malls and government offices nationwide.
She said the application used data obtained from a basic database called the Malaysian Local Authorities Public Toilet Register or DATAM.
