MELAKA, Sept 7 -- All parties are urged not to mix religion with politics in order to maintain unity among the people of all races and religions in the country.
Melaka Industry, Trade and Investment Committee chairman Datuk Mohd Rafiq Naizamohideen, who is also Masjid Cina Melaka chairman, said the “Malam Islam Bersatu Bersama Dr Zakir Naik” organised tonight at the mosque was a religious programme and supported by more than 3,000 Muslims in the state regardless of political affiliation.
"This is not a political party or state government programme, it is a programme organised by the mosque and it has nothing to do with any political party," he told reporters after the programme in Krubong here.
