Malaysian air-conditioner maker to collaborate with Indonesia's PT Inka

JAKARTA, Aug 28 (Bernama) -- Malaysian air-conditioner manufacturer, Perencana Dingin Sdn Bhd, has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Indonesian government-owned company, PT Industri Kereta Api (PT Inka) to remanufacture the latter’s air conditioning unit under the brand Dingin-Inka AC.

Perencana Dingin is a Malaysian company which focuses on providing rolling stock air conditioning total solutions, including manufacturing, refurbishment works, warehousing and servicing.

Under the MoU, the company will establish the first manufacturing centre for rolling stock air conditioning systems, while PT Inka, the first integrated manufacturer of rolling stock air conditioning system in Southeast Asia, will provide technical support.

The MoU was signed on Monday, Aug 26 by PT Inka’s president director, Ir Budi Noviantoro and Perencana Dingin’s managing director, Azlan Muhammad. 

Perencana Dingin’s business director, Azwan Omar said the collaboration was the first of its kind for both countries and exemplified the companies’ strong commitment to the advancement of the railway industry in  Southeast Asia.

In a statement, he said both Indonesia and Malaysia have embarked on large-scale railway infrastructure projects, and as such, the exchange of information regarding the operations, building and maintaining railway systems would benefit both countries.

"This collaboration between PT Inka and Perencana Dingin is a historical milestone for the railway industries in both countries," he added.
