PAFA thanks The Bos Gaurus fans for overwhelming support

IPOH, July 24 (Bernama) -- The Perak Football Association (PAFA) has expressed its gratitude to the fans of the 'The Bos Gaurus' squad for the outstanding support ahead of the FA Cup 2019 finals after all the tickets were sold out.

PAFA's honorary secretary Tajul Hasnan Omar said the association was overwhelmed by the response as they did not expect the 27,000 tickets reserved for Perak supporters to be sold out in such as short time

"The counters at the Perak Stadium were to be opened from 10.30am to 3.30pm, but at 12.30 pm they (tickets) were sold out. In the other districts there were (counters) open for only 15 minutes before the tickets were sold out.

"I would like to thank the supporters for this overwhelming response, as I have been informed there were those who waited in front of the counter from midnight just to get the tickets," he said when contacted by Bernama here tonight.

Yesterday, PAFA confirmed that all 27,000 tickets for the 2019 FA Cup final offered through counters statewide were sold out. The remaining 3,000 of the total allocation of 30,000 tickets were reserved for sponsors and government departments.

Tajul said ticket sales went smoothly and no undesirable incidents took place.

Meanwhile, he said those who failed to get hold of tickets should not be disappointed as PAFA, in collaboration with the Menteri Besar’s office, will be showing the final match on giant screens in 10 different locations in the state.

"The locations are Ipoh Railway Station Square, compound of the Al-Fateh Meru Mosque, Mydin Meru, Lembah Kuala Kangsar, Bukit Baldwind Tapah, Giant Tambun and Chemor Hawker Centre, Selama District Council Field, Padang Bunga Raya Lenggong and Arena Square Pengkalan Baharu," he said.
