KUALA LUMPUR, May 27 (Bernama) -- IHH Healthcare Bhd’s managing director (MD) and chief executive officer (CEO) Dr Tan See Leng has elected to retire upon the completion of his contract on Dec 31, 2019.
The Board of Directors of IHH Healthcare had accepted Dr Tan’s request and he will be succeeded by Dr Kelvin Loh effective Jan 1, 2020, the company announced in a statement today.
Dr Tan has had a distinguished career in IHH Healthcare, with a series of senior leadership roles including as CEO of Parkway Holdings Ltd and then as CEO and MD of Parkway Pantai Ltd.
Under his leadership, IHH Healthcare has successfully transformed into an international healthcare company with a presence in Malaysia, Singapore, Turkey, India through the acquisition of Fortis Healthcare, and a growing footprint in mainland China and Hong Kong.
Meanwhile, Dr Loh will rejoin IHH Healthcare from Columbia Asia Group where he was CEO since 2017.
IHH Healthcare is one of the largest healthcare groups in the world by market capitalisation and are listed on Bursa Malaysia Main Market and the Main Board of the Singapore Exchange Securities Trading Limited.
