Sunway Pyramid celebrates Raya with Bunga-Bunga Raya theme

PETALING JAYA, May 10 (Bernama) -- Raya is in full bloom at Sunway Pyramid as the shopping mall celebrates the festive season with a ‘Bunga-Bunga Raya’ theme starting today until June 9.

Chief executive officer of Sunway Mall and Theme Park, HC Chan said under the umbrella theme of ‘Bunga-Bunga Raya’, the mall chose the hibiscus as a symbol of togetherness which would be at the Orange Concourse on Lower Ground 2 (LG2).

“Just like how the different shapes and sizes of the hibiscus reflect unity through diversity, we hope this Raya the spirit of togetherness continues to strengthen through the years,” he said after officiating the ‘Bunga-Bunga Raya’ campaign here today.

Chan said all six Sunway Malls across Malaysia have been transformed into thematic garden of flowers, with each mall choosing a flower of Malaysia such as orchid, bougainvillea and jasmine.

He added the Orange Concourse was decorated with floral arrangements where shoppers could immerse in a journey through the unique indoor garden with five different activities, each representing a petal of hibiscus.

Shoppers can share their creative photos on the Bunga-Bunga Swing on Instagram or Facebook and can take part in four activities at the Hopscotch Play Area.

The Blooming Floral Walk is also not to be missed where members of the public can also take a walk through the blooming flowers and earn a petal.

Meanwhile, shoppers can also immerse in a unique interactive blooming garden and let loose their creativity by making their own flower show as well as taking a photo at the Floral Memory Lane photobooth.

For this event, Sunway Pyramid has also teamed up with the Naza Group of Companies to give one lucky shopper a Limited Edition Vespa.

The shoppers have a chance to own the Vespa by completing in  three activities at the concourse, downloading the new Sunway Pyramid mobile app through QR code and registering for the contest which ends on June 9.
