KUALA LUMPUR, April 9 (Bernama) -- The Royal Malaysia Police (RMP) came back from two goals down to hand Sarawak a crushing 5-2 defeat in the second round of the 2019 FA Cup at Selayang Municipal Council Stadium here today.

The Cops only needed the first 15 minutes of the second half to lead Sarawak for the first time after trailing 0-2 from goals by Gerogi Kinkladze Tom in the sixth minute and Mohamad Alif Hassan in the 34th minute.

Defender Muhammad Fauzan Mohd Fauzi netted RMP’s first goal in the 47th minute before Patrick Ronaldinho Wleh equalised four minutes later followed by the third goal from a penalty converted by Lee Changhoon in the 58th minute.

RMP continued their rampage which saw Patrick Ronaldinho creating a hat-trick after blasting in two goals in the 65th and 80th minutes to seal the match for RMP.

The RMP-Sarawak match should have been played on April 2 at the same venue but was postponed following heavy rain and thunderstorm.

In this regard, RMP advance to the third round of the FA Cup and will travel to Manjung Municipal Council Stadium to face PKNP FC next.
