Melaka United fret over three injured key players

30/03/2019 02:21 PM

MELAKA, March 30 (Bernama) -- The injuries sustained by three Melaka United key players such as Darko Markovic and Ramzi Haziq Mohamad in the Super League match last night as well as Liridon Krasnisqi who suffered a thigh muscle injury earlier are distressing head coach Zainal Abidin Hassan.

He hoped the players would recover before the second round 2019 FA Cup match against PKNS FC at Shah Alam Stadium on Wednesday.

Zainal who was a national player in the 80’s and 90’s is keeping his fingers crossed he would not have to face more injured players which could throw a spanner in the works for his team.

“I hope all players are prepared to adapt themselves in the first eleven apart from doubling their efforts as one of the teams will be eliminated in the Wednesday game,” he told reporters after the match here last night.

Earlier in the Super League match at Hang Jebat Stadium, Melaka United shared a point after being tied to a 0-0 draw with Perak.
