KUALA LUMPUR, Feb 20 (Bernama) -- Premier league side Perlis have been kicked out of the 2019 M-League season with immediate effect.
Malaysian Football League chief executive officer Kevin Ramalingam said MFL arrived at the decision after poring through the documents on the financial status of the FA of Perlis as per the deadline, Feb 18.
“Based on the documents, the MFL board found that their financial resources including from sponsorship, would not be able sustain them for the current M-League season.
He said MFL had given ample room for PFA to “get its act together” but in the end had no choice but to make the difficult decision.
In view of the development, Kevin said MFL was extending the transfer window to sign up players, which expired at midnight tonight, by 30 more days.
