KUANTAN, Jan 2 (Bernama) --- The presence of a famous TV personality, Datuk Aznil Nawawi, fondly known as Pak Nil among his young fans, brought joy to 666 pupils including 128 Year One pupils of Sekolah Kebangsaan (SK) Permatang Badak on the first day of school today.
Aznil, who is also the chairman of Yayasan Pesona, said his visit was to share his experience and knowledge on building personality.
“We want to cultivate a sense of high self-esteem for these children by focusing on the development of personality and identity.
“With the current advancement and development, pupils should be exposed to a more holistic education and not just on the academic,” he told reporters after spending almost an hour in the school.
He also welcomed the government's announcement to abolish examination for Year 1 to Year 3 pupils, saying it would help to mould the pupils to become an all-rounder person.
