The Philippine Azkals, under the guidance of Swedish experienced head coach, Sven-Goran Eriksson, did not face any problem to defeat Norio Tsukitate's men and take the three valuable points home.
The Azkals’ goals were scored by the prolific stricker, Phil Younghusband in 27th minute, followed by Martin Steuble (33’) and Carli de Murga (68’).
Meanwhile, two Timor-Leste consolation goals were scored by Nataniel de Jesus Reis through penalty kicks in the 73rd minute and by Joao Pedro Da Silva Freitas (75’).
The victory saw the Philippines currently placed second in the group sharing six points with Thailand who have advantages in goals.
